A few years ago instead of destroying the original dyno numbers on all of the LT5 engines Mercruiser donated them to the NCM. I understood them to be available to the owners when the data was cataloged. Does anyone know the status of this? Rumor has it there were legal issues.

To my knowledge this info is not available to owners from the NCM.

I believe the LT5 dyno data did belong and still belongs to GM, not Mercruiser. Unless the status has changed, GM's last position was to not release. I can't imagine why GM even gave the data to the NCM if the museum couldn't do anything with it.:icon_scra

They let the NCM store them for free. A no cost decision by GM and maybe not a smart decision by NCM.
