Referring to the little gray triangles to the side of the power seat switches in the center console, on the early cars. I see they don't appear on the later cars, but not sure when the change occurred.

My new-to-me 1991 didn't have either one but I knew that before I bought the car. Since the little rectangular holes light up when the lights are on, I figured maybe they were supposed to be lit indicators, but the replacement pieces I just bought from Zip Corvette appear to be solid with no light transmission.

What gives? What exactly do these triangles do / why are they there?

They are direction arrows!

Their only purpose is to disappear from careless detailers. I epoxied my originals in place. You can order a new set from Corvette Central. The light is annoying.

They don't light up as far as I know...the little solid piece snaps in there or is supposed to. The only things that light up is what is in yellow I think. It's been awhile since I've driven mine at night lol.

The light they refer to is through the hole where the triangle resides
