Glass top

Hi guys. Found a ZR-1 I like, but it's missing the glass tops. Are those the same on any 91-95 Corvette?

Yes, the ZR-1 and base cars use the same top, so any one from at least 90 up will work just fine.

When buying you would want to verify it's a 'genuine' GM I'd think or a verified 're-lens' from Melrose. Needs to have a metal molding and I'd try to confirm with a snapshot of the 'glass-bug' that's centered very near rear edge. I thought I had a good snapshot of a transparent top 'glass-bug' but I can't find it.

89 tops will work too.. I have my acrylic top from my 89 on my 90

Do you have the window sticker/build sheet? That should tell you.

I called Melrose Corvettes in IL and he told me to go for the blue tint. The bronze will make the red interior look like poop... [emoji23]

I don't believe that's so. You might ask for opinions from those with 'bronze' tops and it would matter year I believe also.

My 'bronze' top ('90 w/red) hasn't been on the car since '04 maybe but a friend has a '90 with 'bronze' and I don't find it offensive. I've not been in it recently but I don't recall issues and actually I might prefer it. I wear DriveWear sunglasses that are somewhat different also so maybe it's a 'me thing'.

What year car and # are you looking at? The SPID would mention solid, single and tint of original.

C2L > BOTH, CC3 > TRANSPARENT, 24S > BLUE, 64S > BRONZE & CF7 > PAINTED

i had a blue top on my 89 with red interior and I kept it for my 1990 (Black Red) I really like the top..
