Sleeves on hand no waiting.

These are very strong thick sleeves you can Turbo or Nitrous these blocks.
Also corrected some proprietary common LT5 issues that our LT5's have.
We can go up to 4.155 on these.
Looking into making some MLS gaskets for the big bore (4.155)

That's great news!! Just in time for winter projects.:-D

Those sleeves are steel, I assume. And, no milling out the bores either!?

AND, using the stock crank, or is it also offset ground?

Gotta ballpark idea on the turn-key price?

Man! those blocks would really put some lead in the FBI's pencil at the US-41 (CPCC) drag races!! That trophy might as well take up a permanent home with us!:cheers:

BTW, does anyone have an explanation for why GM or Lotus went w the open deck design.

How about offset grind crank to 3.75 and make it a 400 :)

I believe it was a fad going around the engine design community at the time. For low rate high end engines like the LT5 it allowed the complete precision finished Nikasil coated aluminum liners, pistons and rings to come as a drop in package from one supplier which in this case was the German company Mahle. Mahle was also supplying many of the other sport car engine builders including Porsche and Ferrari. I am very well aquainted with Mahle from my many years with MTU. All of the high performance marine diesels we produced had pistons from Mahle.

The first one i will keep cost down by using stock crank & rods.

Paul i have not finalized pricing yet but somewhere in the mid $13's turn key using your good stock rods and crank.

Since you already have your heads and intake ported it would be much less.

Alright, so what does this mean?
I go from 350 to 391 cubes?
Expected HP?
Cost for a build if I'm already at 530HP?

Paul you sure as heck can't take it with you might as well enjoy it while you can.

Steve,600-630HP is what we are looking at.
Plus all the people that have purchased products from me previously will get a 5% discount ;)

Like i mentioned to Paul on a previous post if your intake and heads are already done the price is about half for turn key.

People started using drag racing cement and expoxy to stablize the cylinders at the base. Just enough to still allow water to flow. People have made huge power doing this old drag racing trick. 944/951/968 engines were all aluminum similar to the LT5 and is Alusil as the primary material for cylinders. Good thing the LT5 used Nikasil as it's stronger.

The one thing they forget to mention is that only a few machine shops in the USA can properly hone or bore a block.
