A Good Week with the ZR1

I am now a member of the Pulling the Plenum Club with the help of Marc's plenum video on the how-to of this task. Fixed the vacuum leak causing a high idle with the with connection of the famous emissions tube that tends to blow off under the plenum. Easier than it looks for you novices out there.



Also, had a local repair shop perform a roadforce balance to correct a steering wheeling vibration at speeds about 60mph. Now 750 rpm from 1200rpm.



Installed Marc's chip to improve several variables in the performance of my 91.More HP and No more using the valet key!

Now ready to enjoy Atlanta's upcoming Springtime and Caffeine and Octane shows with Velocity Channel filming! Got a brief look on first show!

Good to hear . I am sure eventually I will have to do a plenum pull . No doubt Marc is an awesome bennifit to the group ... I also have his chip and it really does make the car run much better .

Good job on the chip- it makes a difference

I too have a '91 and in my discussions with Marc (while ordering my chip) he said to consider swapping out the resonator for a much lower restriction one.

The earlier resonators are smaller in diameter and will choke pretty hard on the exhaust. I left my stock mufflers as I like the tip and apparently MArc says they flow pretty well.
