I now have a set of old school manly sounding horns for my DD. After replacing the factory horns twice I gave up and went with a new solution. I replaced them with a pair of PIAA sport horns made in Japan. One horn is 400 hz and the other is 500 hz I picked them up on Amazon. Wiring is straight forward one positive and one negative terminal. You will need to cut your factory plug in order to install the blade ends on the factory wiring. However, you would have already needed to have done that for the "factory" GM replacement horn I just replaced that failed a year later. Bluntly the OEM Horn's were pretty weak sounding from the factory like something that should have graced a "Yugo" vs. GM's flagship Euro sports car competitor in my opinion.
Here is the original horn

Here is the GM factory replacement horn I installed that failed a year later. Note the change to a two bladed connector vs the old school 2 pin weather pack connector. I was able to unpin this connector and use the blades on one side for one of the new horn replacements

Here is the box for the replacements. Very light with a metal bracket but the horn is made in plastic. I put them into the stock locations. They also have a shield to block water etc. you can see in the top right corner of the box advertisement.

Here is the new horn in the factory location on the passenger side. I am very happy with the tone. The horns are not like a train horn but loud like an old school 60s Cadillac. You WILL Be heard. Which is kinda of the point. We ride so low and I have lost count of how many boneheaded drivers out there want to join me in my lane without looking. GC
