I've seen other threads about this issue and highly suspect the blower control module has croaked. Looking around on the web I see the part is common to 90 thru 92 with C68 (automatic) HVAC. Does anyone have a good module I can borrow to test my theory? Or an extra to sell?

Cheers,
Glenn

I had this happen to me. HVAC fan running at low speed even when the ignition was turned off resulting in mysterious dead battery. Unfortunately, I don't have a spare fan module.

Mine started that this past week. Fine one day. Next day I turn it off and the blower motor keeps running with the key off. Through def. Cranked it back up and switched it to vent. Shut it off and went back to def running. Unplugged the blower so my battery doesn't run down. Runs down after 6 or 7 days anyway. Where did you get your module?

Would a bad module also cause the blower to run slower than it should? And has anyone run into this situation before?

So I had the same prob. Went to pick and pull got a module from something else it was a caddy can't remember the year. Anyway I put it in and now the blower won't run at all. What would you do next. When I plug the old module in the blower runs continuously so I know I have power. Obvious answer seems to be to buy a new module what do ya'll think.

Folks, please do not go into a feeding frenzy and stock up on something you may never need making parts unavailable for the rest of us. This module is pretty reliable, and it's
likely you may never have this problem. PM should mot be necessary.

Before I do order one, could there be a sticking relay or is it just the module that controls it? I unplugged it at the blower. Didn't do any checking other than that.
