is there a video that shows how to time the cams in our motor>? what special tools are needed and where can one get them. Or is there someone I could pay to set thew cams . I could drive the motor to them ? anyone got any ideas//help? reason replaced head gaskets due to orange junk.

You will definitely find your 0.1 horsepower and then some by doing the cam timing...you need some special tools and quite a bit of patience...

I think I would have had Corey do it while it was there. That, and port the heads while he was at it. 430+ then!!!!!!! Hell, maybe 440 with your numbers.

Guys the black car that I took to Coreys Is doing fine . The head gasket problem is with my red 90. SO I was going to do a 368 with it but Corey is backed up with the new shop so I thought I would put the head gasket in it and ddrive it till corey was ready. Ya know Its really hard on one to own 2 zr1s:mrgreen:

Any idea what caused the head gasket failure? Were you using Dexcool or something?

I think previous owner had dexcool in her. the motor dynod decent 347rwhpA157k miles with borla ex and z-industries chip . So decided to pull the motor and just replace both head gaskets . one ? how much is it to get the heads ported? and who. Coreys busier than hell who could I send the heads to that would do a good job. plus who has tensioners?

I think that LocoBob and Jeff might be doing them now, I know they do the plenum and ih's....EES, Haibeck, SGC do them as well.
