You guys are missing out on the best interior feature that exists on the 1990s :D

Makes me wounder what it would take to add an operating bulb to the dic of the 91-up???, Could you tie it to the console switch light or even make it come on when the sec are open...? Is the circuitry in place and can you just add a bulb?

You would only need to match the filter to that of the later model to be sure that the balance of the filter was a match for the '91+. I'd think that you would use a wired bulb/socket and not rely on the PC for power. I'd think it relatively easy if you had no filter differences aside from the "FULL POWER".

Wired socket/bulb pigtail and a correct filter - nearly done.

You might be able to compare the various filters using the 8C-4 (vicinity of a '90) and compare it to the year desired.

This from my Mentor ;)

"The panel has "full power" in the overlay. And the DIC panel has the necessary wiring on the tape to reel circuit board. The wiring is probably just absent. You could tap into the power circuit and take the feed to power the bulb.

A few guys in the past on 90-91 L98 cars used to use it for indicator light for a nitrous system."
