I have notice that since owning the Z, the door actuators make all kinds of weird noises with the doors or door opened. They seem to buz and or try to move on their own. And sometimes they seem to get stuck in one position or in another. I would imagine that this is a common problem with C4's, although I don't remember my 35th Anniv having this problem way back then. Also I don't have the remote key FOB for the vehicle.....
1-So I would assume that the actuators need to be replaced???
2-On a side note, I have also noticed that the interior dash lights appear to flicker when first starting the engine, another C4 gremlin???

thanks for any info.........

Is this always in the same location or is it pretty much anywhere you take the car? If it is only in a single location there is some device that is giving off a RF signal that is activating the PKE.

Good observation, have to give that some thought. It does seem to happen in the garage right under the garage door opener....mmmmmmm
Will have to try different location and see if I can reproduce the same symtom.
Thx.......

I noticed that you did not have the PKE key fob. So if you do ever get one here is how you fix it.
1) Take the Key ring and keys off the fob so they do not get in the way.
2) But the fob on an old shirt on a work bench. Than wrap up the fob in the shirt.
3) Get your favorite hammer and give it a good whack, Three or four times should suffice. Now throw the fob and the shirt in the garbage and your problems are over.

On a serious note you can disable the PKE function.
Let me see if I can find the file with that information.

To disarm the system, hold the door lock button down until you hear the the door locks cycle twice.
