I recently had an opportunity to model the new Z06 wheel and tire package on my ZR-1. These are actual OEM Z06 wheels and tires, not aftermarket. The rears (59mm offset) are mounted with a 1/2in spacer for clearance, the fronts have a 40mm offset and stick out past the fenders a bit. Wheel finish is the factory polish. Here ya go!

This last pic is a quicky photoshop to see how the wheels look with black centers.

looks good, I think the black centers with your black car is the way to go!

I agree and think you had better avoid anything but smooth roads with that minimal clearance.
It does look sharp though.
Look's great, but the fit may be the hard part.

I like the design of the wheels and on a black car the polished or chrome look always is pleasing....wonder what the combo would look like in black chrome powder coat??
Okay, now this is a rookie Q. Aw, come on ya know this was coming...weed eater is here!
It seems to me that the choices for 315's are getting slim, and by extension our tire choices are drying up. Sooo, if a Z owner wanted more choice would it be advisable to go to an 18" or 19" wheel on a ZR-1? What happens to the speed-O calibration, how do you correct for a larger diameter wheel??
Thanks,
Tom

Locobob,
Did you ever keep those Z06 wheels on the ZR? Anyone make replicas with the correct offset for the ZR?

Look good but I still prefer the painted 5 spoke ZR- rims in either black or silver.

Locobob,
Did you ever keep those Z06 wheels on the ZR? Anyone make replicas with the correct offset for the ZR?i dont think they do because i have been trying to find a set of aftermarket c6 wheels with the correct offset and can't. i would like to see a set of c6(not z06) wheels on a z. i think the fittment may be a little better also:thumbsup:

so you mean the rear wheel goes out or in?? let me knowwith a 56mm offset on the back, the wheels would be sunk in on a Z.... due to the 36mm offset on the Z.

zr1assassin,
I inquired about these wheels at House of Wheels and was told they have a 40mm offset available for the rears. That should work pretty well.
