I have code 14 and the low coolant level Light on. I have checked connections to sensors and they are good. I am assuming I need a low level sensor for the header tank and a temp sensor (to ECM)?

I know you enjoy acronyms so I'll just do a thread:

CTS for the ECM is under the plenum. Have you pulled the plenum? Do you have a FSM? 6E-A-36 & 37 and there will be some diagnostic and resistance values in there also.

The sensor in the tank is not replaceable - you replace the whole tank assy.
Used to be about $50 at your local dealer.

That is what I was thinking until I finally found a coolant level sensor for sale online. It doesn't screw in?

Thanks, I have had the plenum off twice, once for injectors the day I bought it in Denver and again two days latter back in Dallas to replace a coil pack. I am getting pretty at it! less than 20 minutes! I will be taking it off again soon to strip and recoat the plenum, injector housing and cam covers. Just received some Carter bling in the mail today for that job! I will check temp sensor when I take things apart. Yes, I have the FSM. It is in not good shape, missing the first few pages and the last few. Makes looking things up very tough!

It is serviced with the tank. It's still available from GM and there's new on eBay also but if you've a relationship with a GM dealer I'd think less expensive locally.
