Energy Storage (Battery vrs Capacitors) (http://www.energyadvocate.com/fw49.htm)

I think the key is (when you turn the key ;)) the number of times you can crank the engine over using a battery vrs capacitor. I think your voltage will drop very quickly using capacitors and as you know........trying to start the LT5 with low voltage just does not work so well :D

In the video....that car started every time on the first or second rotation of the crankshaft. Now sit on the starter a bit cranking a few times and watch that capacitor voltage drop. Then after the Capacitor voltage has dropped.....try starting the LT5 and see what happens. Time to pull out the ZR-1 Tow Adapter.....:D

Or (after the capacitor voltage has dropped on just a few cranks (crankshaft rotations during starting)) jump the capacitors to a battery which you could probably do many times before the battery voltage drops nearly as much as the capacitor voltage dropped on just a few cranks of the LT5 :p
