Anyone know where I might find this part? My '90 is low mileage, and the PO apparently was never made aware of the upgrade part...
If I can find an ECM in a vette salvage yard, is the ECM typically marked for this service upgrade???
Would any later model LT5 ECM be hot-swap capable?

Found the Haibeck / ZR1 Specialist site; hope still to get responses of my other Q's here...

ECMs are not hot swappable.. But you can use any year LT5 ECM in your 90. The service upgrade is just the MEMCAL that is socketed in the ECM. I would suggest just getting a custom MEMCAL done by Marc for your car.

Jeff is correct the ECMs are not "hot-swappable".
"hot-swap" usually means changing the unit with power on and/or car running. However, if what you meant was can the later ECMs be used in earlier cars, then yes.

Just did exactly that - ordered from M Haibeck.
Seemed like a real pleasant and knowledgeable guy there; obviously not his first day! He'll probably see more of my business...
