You can get some really decent high mileage cars for $12k (before haggling), too much work for $9k. Even if you have a hook-up in the auto body trade and spares...
$4500 would be a good price imo.

While the minor frame damage is easily repaired correctly, the price is too high for that particular car. If you could get it for $6k and put it back together yourself, it looks like a clean car.
If it has a salvage title..........fugetuboutit.........

Total $ as a parts car might be $9k but then you'd need to pay
for your time and shipping. That said I'd think it should be $5k

If the "Buy it Now" is $9K, I wonder what it will go for? 5-6K would be great.
I've often thought about getting a ratty old Z with bad cosmetics, cheap. Part out some of the accessories and trim, AC, Radio, seats etc. and turn it into a drag car.
I live near an NHRA strip and would love to have a stock block lightweight 2,700 lb. sleeper to thrash, with one of Mark's, or Pete's, 500+hp. top-end jobs.
Kind of like Fastlane's old car without the megabuck motor. Something like that might be able to keep up with the new ZR1's at the strip. "Stock looking" old Z able to click off mid tens.
Just dreamin' :coffee2:

I'm surprised it runs at all.
The radiator is at least 4 or 5 inches higher than it should be.
There's not much room between the radiator and the pulleys, I would have thought that something would have gotten in the way.
I'll bet there's a lot more damage to the underside than the seller is disclosing.
Whatever it ran over or up onto probably took out more than the radiator support brackets.
$9k, pass.
Obviously not wrecked by one of our Registry bretheren, wonder what the story is.

:-D
I paid little more for the one I parted, and mine was newly painted unwrecked and only had 78k.
