I have been to Shawn's place in Vista Ca (CorvetteNutz), and I'm sure he has a harness and or switch to scavenge this part from. Boxes and boxes of parted out stuff plus several cars at any given moment. I know there is some LT5 stuff in possession as well.
Here's his running post in the parts section in CF C4 section

as always, manually type in CF (spelled out) to fix the link. his website is not running.

I've had better luck going in person with a $20 spot...There was also a guy in Florida who I bought a few things from off of ebay too- a recycler parting out cars, but still, maybe you can find the switch in another GM car in the local boneyard.
Cadillacs seem to have the same electrical stuff and you know those things are stacked up at the junkyard like cordwood.

i don't know if this will help you or not but the reason that the switch fails is that the part is under designed for our cars
