Some of you may have noticed I have been absent from the Forum for awhile now. I have a new project that has taken away from the ZR-1 for awhile. The Z is sleeping for the winter so this new car has been taking some time to get squared away.

1972 Nova, 89,000 original miles. dark green Lambo paint with grey/black interior.
355CI SBC with Scat bottom end, Performer Air Gap, had a 750Vac Sec Holley and 125 shot NOS. NOS removed and carb replaced with a Holley Street HP 750 DP. Original Hughes 2000 Stall Convertor (For Sale) replaced with 3500 Stall Boss Hog convertor. Those two changes alone and the car is a different animal now. Needs some tuning though and will headed for the Dyno in March. Soon to come, March Serpentine belt system and adding power steering at the same time.

This car with the NOS ran 11.60's at Arm Drop Live in Boise last year. Should run low 13's high 12's NA now.

Thanks Frankie, I'm enjoying working on it a lot. Unfortunately it's been pretty crappy weather and can't really drive it anymore, probably until spring. I have lots of little things to fix before then though.

Looks fun! Does the N20 yank to the motor that much to require a chain?

The PO said he was just making sure the motor mount wouldn't break. Since I removed the NOS I also have removed the chain.

Hi John: One of the guys in the local Vette club has a Nova he has been building. Same color as yours. His wife drives their Vettes.

On the light side, I sat across from a gal at the local Vette club Christmas dinner last night that looked just like your avatar. Had a hard time eating.

I can certainly understand that.
