Anyone know where i can buy an original clutch master cylinder that came with our car? I've install an aftermarket part but its not the same as the old one that came with the car. The rod on the new one are shorter.

Jeff,

I bought it from Chevy Dealer in Antioch. The box label AC Delco. I called them to tell them difference, their reply was it is an aftermarket part with ac delco name on it. When i compare the old one side by side the rod on the original is much longer. I'm lost as to finding the same one NEW. On the original part, the clutch pedal would travel to the floor the one does not.

I ran into what I thought was this same probem a couple of months ago when I changed out my clutch slave cylinder. It turned out the orginal shaft had not fully re-extended due to the crude in the cyclinder. When I pulled both shafts out they were exactly the same length. Maybe this is what you are seeing also although I was working on the slave and not the master. There was no problem with the new master.
