Been looking around now for some info on a supercharger kit for a 1991 ZR1. Found infomation on the 1992-96 ZR1 models but not for my 91. Do they have such a kit? Would the one for 92-96 fit? Would one made for a ls1 work? Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Thanx

As there is no 1996 ZR-1, I would guess what you are seeing is kits for the LT1. No LT1 or LS1 kit is just going to bolt up without extra work.

No, it's definitely hooked up to an LT5. It looks like a turbo that's been modified to run like a sc off a pulley. I didn't see any performance numbers yet, but it still begs two questions:

1- what about the already-high compression of the LT5 when it is pushed beyond its original limits?

2- why do they call underhood air intakes "cold air"? There is nothing "cold" about air sucked in from underhood temps guaranteed to be at least 100 degrees hotter than from outside the engine compartment. Just wonderin'.

***Looking closer at the pics I can see the "cold air" filtered intake is moved directly above the battery. I also see the left side plenum water pipe has a tube routed from the back to "somewhere". I cannot see the power steering pump and reservoir in the pics. Lots of new "controls". No info about added compression.

Has anybody in the FBI gone out to this shop to see this setup yet?

Randy (& Dad) had the SRC SC LT5 at the last BG Gathering.
VERY CLEAN looking but A LOT of work. Randy said he
is still working out the bugs and fine tuning the program.

And I know you didn't ask, but Ron H. (Raptor) is marketing
a remote turbo system for C4's and LT5's.

Car was at BG this year.
I've seen this set up,it's a clean install just like any other SC system installed in L98,LT1 etc.

The only question i have if i were to put one in my Z with the cams and run 4lbs of boost will i get 75HP? Then i would be 441 power.:flag2:

I was responding to the OP who mentioned he'd seen kits for the '92-96 ZR-1.

Wonder what the price point will be as opposed to the TT setup. Dyno numbers would be good too.

When I talked to Randy in BG this year, I asked about pricing. His comment to me is that he won't be selling this setup. This is a one of one for him.

Randys SC is nicely engineered.Nelsons racing engines has done a real nice TT LT5 setup also.
