Apparently do not work....
here is direct bolt up:
http://www.vettextc.net/jeff/Shelby_Wheels/Fitament/Direct_Fit_2.jpg
here is an added 2.37mm:
http://www.vettextc.net/jeff/Shelby_Wheels/Fitament/With_Washer2.jpg
the corner edge of the caliper is catching on the center section of the wheel.. a 2.37mm washer works for clearance and I was thinking of a 5mm Spacer.. but is that enough? or will I be better off looking for J55 Calipers again..
Anyone have any J55 Calipers and Abutment brackets? I found a good price on Rotors and would get new pads..

You need to ask Al about that, if I recall he unbolted the centers and turned them around somehow.

Hans,
I think Al has Wilwood brakes.
Jeff,
I still have my old calipers.

I talked to Al already about this, moving the center section to the outside will make it worse for me.
Dominic, How much for the Calipers and Brackets, as much is I would like to keep the C5 brakes, I am thinking that maybe the OEM will cause less headaches
I found a deal on Rotors, I just need Calipers and Abutment brackets

I see... can you use a spacer (adapter) to move the wheel farther out?

sure I could, but the question becomes how much?
I bought a set of 5mm Spacers as the 2.37mm washers I tried allow for clearance.. so I thought 5mm should be good,
but how much movement occurs with the wheels turning and caliper float...
since the Shelby wheels are designed for the J55s maybe I need to swap back.. then sell the C5 stuff.. 1 step forward but 2 steps back ugh..

Unbolt the wheel centers and move then from inboard to outboard, add a 1/4in spacer = problem solved. Looks like this and clears my 4 piston Alcons no problem.

I love how your car looks Rob.... great stance!

Rob,
what purpose does moving the center to the outside do for the clearance? is it because you are moving them out it keep them from sticking out?
I have .310" spacers and ordered .200" spacers. I was going to try the .200" spacers first
With either will I need longer studs?

Rob,
looking at those pictures again, do you have the centers on the outside of all wheels? front and rear?
I saw a Z today with those wheels and they fit fine with the centers on the inside and no issues with his brakes
now when I had the wheels set-up on the rear they seems to stick out a slight bit compared to what I have, so I am thinking thin spacer front and rear with the centers on the outside of the wheels
I had the wheels apart to clean them, I assume I can do the same with tires on, just make sure I have all the air out of the tires

I have the centers outboard both front and rear with 1/4in spacers all around. Doing this keeps the wheels and tires tucked inside the fenders and also gives you some clearance for fancy brakes. If you run the wheels as is with a spacer in the front your wheels are going to stick out a bunch. If you like that look then no biggie, just a matter of personal taste.

Thanks for trying Rob.. I am guessing about a 1/4" longer then stock would be fine
need to find the stock length.. I assume the are measured by Overall length
I found an old post (thanks ScottZ95ZR1) that was right when Ron got these.
looks like even if I used J55 brakes and bolted them up normal they will stick out a bit and to not do that I need to swap the centers anyway..

I am about 99% sure that the studs I used are: ARP 100-7708, 2.500 underhead length.

that is 1" longer then stock, I bet that is it

I like this car, those wheels look great in the gray.Wish I would have bought a set when they were almost free, these wheels look just as nice as those $1500 a pop wheels.Jeff,Id try a 5MM spacer and see if that gave you what you need. That would be the easiest and cheapest thing for starters.Ive got no problem using a spacer.

yep I got the OEM Dorman stud that are 1/2 longer (actually the same as OEM length, but threaded to the end). I will use those along with a pair of $5mm spacers I got on eBay for $18 and a set of 7mm spacers I got for free. I am waiting on the 5mm to get here. I was thinking the thicker in front, but after reading, the thinner maybe better for looks, but need to verify the spacing is good too

Dorman 610323
M12-1.5 x 54mm
EDIT: same overall length as OEM, just threaded to the end
I also used 1/4" Spacers I found on ebay

I just picked up some ARP studs, ARP 100-7708. now onto the spacers. What spacers to use, hubcentic or universal?

I got these..
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160422718649&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWNX%3AIT
not hubcentric, but was able get them centered (used the smaller or larger slots) and the stud fit toward the edge to keep them centered
Locobob bought the ones from DRM, which I may do, but these should be fine too

DRM has the hub-centric ones. They are not cheap but I'd rather spend a few extra dollars than have a potential issue at speed.

Wheel and hub centric. Worth the money.
