Does anyone have a vendor who makes a direct replacement braided clutch line for the ZR-1? My OEM stock line has some corrosion and when I change my clutch, I would like to replace the line as well.
thanks

Were you intested in upgraded to the 91-96 part number: 12509314 (this one is braided)? I recently did that to mine per recommendation of ZF Doc and changed to the later model slave too. Sorry, maybe I misunderstood what you are looking for.

My apologies Craig, I didn't realize that was a standard on the 91-96 :o. I saw it on another members car and thought it was an upgrade. Now that I know, "Yes" that's exactly what I want to do. Didn't know about slave though......If I use that baided line, do I need to change the slave out too? Are the fitting different?
Thanks

If you use the OEM 90 slave cylinder, the 91 & up replacement line should fit. You may have to re-bend some of the pre-made bends....I'm not sure, sorry.
I know that when I changed out my 90 OEM slave for the replacement 91 & up slave, my 90 OEM line would not quite make the right bends down at the newer slave. I was lazy and had the newer line but was in a hurry & didn't put it in at the same time. I had to re-bend the last little bit of the old line to get it to fit.:o
Judging from my foray I would guess that we should do the 91 & up line + 91 & up slave cyls together?

Hi Rich,
All I know is I was consulting with Bill Boudreau when I was doing it all and he told me he highly recommended upgrading to the later style for various reasons so I did. Sorry, I can't answer your questions but mostly likely true like Tom experienced. Shoot Bill B an email just to be sure. He is awesome and always willing to help. I know it could cost a little to do so though....especially during the holidays.

Thanks Craig! Yeah, I'll give Bill a shout, yes he is a good guy. I missed the group sale so I got my C-Beam plates directly from him.

Cool good to have another source  I contacted Bill B. and he stated the 1991 braided cable should fit on a 1990 slave no problem, it's just finding one and at a reasonable price. I will give these guys a call.
