Default DS Cam Cover removal time cutting step

For those of you that ever have removed the D/S Left Hand camcover, you'll know you probably had to remove the brake booster. In future, remove the L/H engine mount nut & jack the motor up on the L/H side, it allows full clearance of the rear most bolts, eliminating the need to take out the brake booster, which we all know if you've ever doen it, what a major pita that one is.

Takes 5 minutes of work to save 4 hours of grief.

I visited Marc H.'s shop last year while on business in the Chicago area. While showing me around the talk turned to cam cover removal. He told me there is a way to remove the left cover without removing the brake booster assembly. I didn't pursue the topic, but the engine mount method must be the way he eluded to.

Thanks for the tip...it sounds relatively easy to do and a time saver too.

Tell all...did you discover it by accident, or were you just looking for a better way?

Do you jack up the motor in any particular spot or just on the oil pan with a 2x4?
