Crank Sensor Problem?!
After the car was Send to *PRO CZECH MECHANIC yesterday he told me the crank sensor have no signal ,that why the engine not start! ohh yaa, and before 2 months,he told me when he put new spark plugs ,the engine start! and he left the car since then, till before 2 weeks from now,and he call me,and told me the car again not started and he found the Starter (bearing) Rotor damage! COOL! new starter changed before year, by the way!
(I remeber i told him its impossibe the issue is Spark plug ,and i post it here in forum ). ok.... lets get in the story, the PRO guy, call me again befor 4 days and said the engine wont start after fixing the starter.WAAW!! he said my Z made him nervous!! ohh realy, who should be piss off and nervous now??! Guys, i start to hate this car,and wish to burn it,and finish it! I have no luck with this Z. last year,i lost my chance and enjoy my holiday and sticking with my brothers in Prague Corvette Gathering, and now again this 2009 gathering 18 July , i will lost it,and have no fun !!! So any one know where to get Crack Sensor to put end to this tragic story, Maybe if there isnt any other real issue NOT the CS problem. what do you think is going on? any idea? the car is 500 Km away from City where i am. Hadi:
There's one on eBay, Item number: 400061584235 But be prepared for a little surprise, the starting bid is $550.00 That being said, it doesn't sound like your "Pro Czech Mechanic" knows his azz from a hole in the ground. Put the car into a container and ship it to someone who actually knows what they're doing. TomC "Crabs"

Re: Crank Sensor Problem?!
As you see the ignition Module is sticking under the plenum.
So how possible this became wet and damaged by water presuure cleaning? Last edited by HADI-ZR1; 07-18-2009 at 12:15 AM. |

Re: Crank Sensor Problem?!
Update:
After paying $1000 for DIS modul + shipping from Kurt White, TODAY the mechanic told me that after replacing the modul, the engine did not start!! wtf?? he check and done the steps on service book, and it says ,the faul may be the ECM , or the DIS modul, so whats to look at more?? i dont think the ECM is faulty, because water spary done only on intake manifold. even Kurt told me there is no way any wrong with ECM!! |

Re: Crank Sensor Problem?!
Hadi sorry to hear you spent the money.
If i have seen this post earlier i could've saved you the money. If module goes bad the motor will not rev past 5k RPM. Pete

Hadi:
My advice to you is: Pay the "Pro Czech" a fair amount for his time and effort, and have the car towed to the ship yards where it can be put into a container and shipped to the US for proper diagnosis and repair. TomC "Crabs"

Re: Crank Sensor Problem?!
Hadi does the motor crank or do you get nothing when you turn key?
If it don't crank maybe you have the no start issue,it's common on our Z's. Do a search about it on here. If it cranks and no start make sure you get feul/spark. Can you check and make sure the ingition coils are pluged in just remembered i busted my head on that once cause the locking pin didn't lock anymore and it came off with the plenum pull and never noticed it. Keep the info coming. Do you have feul presuure? Do you have spark? Pete
