OK...maybe it is my lack of understanding as to what comes WITH the shock... does the piece that the actuator attaches to come with the shock or is that part of the actuator than you attach TO the shock top??

Thanks for the reply...bet the actuator seat is part of the actuator assembly and is reused... learn something every day

Confirmed they are FX3 shocks for the ZR-1... what is confusing is the shocks came as shown in the pictures and the actuator mechanism is then installed onto the shocks.

When you get them from Bilstein, that's as they come. Just the shock body and upper cover. No gold cups, metal plates, actuators or anything. Just the shock.
