Default Cam cover emblem

What is the best way to remove them without damaging them?

Is it held on by the factory adhesive, or something else?

I don't know for sure, but I would venture to guess factory adhesive

Small flatblade screwdriver. It should pry right up. I've done some covers that were epoxied down. You just flat out ruin the emblems at that point.

Mine practically fell off perfectly after I soaked the covers in a bucket of Toluene overnight. It wasnt intentional as mine had faded and were no good but they were in perfect form/shape. I was trying to remove all traces of oil for anodizing.

Slippd a credit card under the edge to protect the cam cover and then kept pushing till the emblem came off.Ive considered offering to paint these for people but dont know if anybody would pay to have it done. When I painted mine I used Dupont single stage for the black, satin for the right panel and didnt even try painting the Bowtie, its not correct but it looks good to me.
