Good stuff.
I just bought a Mothers california gold clay bar kit. It comes with the cleaning spray and clay bar also carnuba wax. All to get the car looking its best for the Hooters car show tomorrow morning. And I am truly impressed. It nearly got rid of all of the swirl marks. And the ones it didn't get rid of it sure did make them less noticable. Water spots to. Meguiars gold class rich leather wipes are way better than armour all. The outside of the car looks like glass. And the red and black interior color looks deep and rich. If I win something I'll be shocked. I'm going up against brand new 2006-2009 cars. Some of these guys have $100,000 into their Zo6's. Some of it looks cool. And some of it looks flat out g*y like this
At car shows once I enter them I usually just pop the hood and walk away to go check out other cars. But this one will be the first one that has judges in it for me. I just want to get some pictures of some fine philly's posing and laying on my car. Have some hot wings and ice cold beer talking cars with some of my buds. Thats what its all about. And I will almost bet you I will be the only ZR-1 there. Last edited by rhipsher; 11-09-2008 at 12:00 AM. |

Re: Good stuff.
In my quest for that "wet tar" look, I found Mothers was able to provide what I was looking for. However, I also found that in the sun, Mother's (and all carnuba waxes in general) would streak at the slightest touch. A finger print would actually engrave the wax, so I can't (or maybe I can!) imagine the kind of imprints you're gonna get when some gal drapes her bod all over your waxed car.
Hmmmm.... I was going to suggest that Zaino provided an equal (or better) shine w/o the imprints. But, then again, maybe imprints might not be so bad. Yup! Mothers! (Good choice!) P. |

Re: Good stuff.
As long as the inprint is in the shape of a peach I don't mind.
