Default Mile Shootout finished today...

The mile shootout was a huge success!

Lots of ZR1's won awards...

Marc Haibeck was there to see one of his works of art (500 hp package) run 166.4 which was tied by a Jeal 368.

Will post the results later...

Cheers,

Ron

Two cars tied @ ~166 mph.
Both beautiful cars and nice people.
Y'all should have been there- and run!

Oops, not very descriptive. Phil has the
Haibeck 500 package and Rick the Jeal 368:
both did ~166mph. I'll let them talk if they want to.

And Brandon Coe was awesome flogging his (Dad's)
stock silver ZR-1 to a hair under 160.

Maybe I'll write something up with pics for the
mag.

Hanselman you are a tease!

Would be great if owners who participated would post their mods, and tuners used .....to compare results.

Jerry Schubert ran but left before the dust settled.
Thanks for the tools as usual!

My mutt car with me doing the wrenching and help/parts
from Marc H., Jeff F., and Robert M. did (don't tell my
wife) 162.5mph. Pretty consistent especially after Marc
diagnosed and Rick sold me a new vacuum pump. He just
happened to have an extra one with him........

Ron probably has official results from MKM or see there website
A BIG THANK YOU to Ron for putting this all together
Why don't you guys want to go 150 to 170 in your car, controlled, safe, no cops, with MPH recorded???? Plus VEGAS!!!
I know the economy, & some, not many safety requirements but not many of these opportunities
Spending time with Haibeck, Ron H & or other brothers of the beast PRICELESS
You guys need to come out of the anesthesia
I went 166.4, tied Ric's Jeal 368
8 runs all between 164.8 & 166.4
The 164's were the missed shift runs
We could have made lots more, but I have to Drive the car home 300 miles
One guy made 10 runs, it was all you want
Some guys needed to leave for more fuel
Mine is a Haibeck 500 HP package, but a stock flywheel, not alum. and cats are added to bring it down to 482HP or 410 HP at wheels, 410 gears, open air cleaner with K&N, throttle body by pass for coolant, Goodyear F1 GS D3 tires
See Marc's website for more info on his packages
2008 ZO6 went 166.5, 1 tenth more, dont know about his mods if any
2008 Shelby Cobra Mustang 500 HP from factory & then he modded that went 151.?
Great time was had by most, & all safe, no car parts or body parts on Ron's runway
Shouda, couda, wouda, you guys missed it
GC our new Moderator will post some of my photos, Thanks Daryl

Just since you asked, not all of us live that close. Vegas is over 2,000 miles from me. I would LOVE to go though. But that's a lot of driving and a lot of time off work. It's not like I can hop on a plane with the Z.

Congrats on your run, that sounds awesome!

I would love to attend, but; 2380.4 miles one way to be exact. Driving straight through at an unobtainable average speed of 80 MPH would still take 30 hours of driving. Isn't going to happen...
