Insurance
I called the agent at Condon and Skelly(full disclosure I work for a company that works with them). I got a quote for a year at $212.00(no I don't get a discount), there are no mileage limits or exclusionary language per say for use, 0 ded, 300K liability limits. This is a new product they can their "concours" policy. They do weed out vehicles that are driven on a regular basis via the application process.
If you drive your car mostly to club events, shows, etc with the occasional social use they are open to quoting you. Requirements are: -Value over 20K -Own 1 daily driver for each member of household -carry seperate ins for other vehicles -use the vehicle mainly for club events If you are driving your car 5K miles per year this is not a policy for you, but I drive about 1-2K per year. This is new for them, in the past I didn't bother as they focused on trailer queens, etc and if you drove the vehicle outside of going to events, and parades there was no coverage and they really only insured cars over 20 years old. I am going to fill out an app and will let you know. LGAFF 92 ZR1 #234 Last edited by LGAFF; 07-30-2008 at 12:13 AM. |

Is this an agreed value policy, and if so what was the value?

Re: Insurance
Probably a dumb question, but does the insurance cover if someone other that you is driving when damage is incurred?

So with this new policy what are the limitations you get for $212 a year?

Re: Insurance
There are no limits for mileage, however during the application process they are going to weed out people who are just trying to get insurance for high use cars. These policies offer the same cover or better than your daily driver, however they underwrite to ensure proper risk. 5K miles per year is alot for a classic or exotic car, 12K is average yearly use on a daily driver.
They are only able to offer lower rates if they don't take on daily driver exposures. LGAFF 92 ZR1 #234 |

Re: Insurance
Generally if your car is within book they do not require an appraisal as far as I know.
