Got a Carfax for my car, interesting history!
Just pulled my carfax just for fun. I would love to know if anyone knows more history of this car 1992 #501
It shows as a lemon/buyback but has no date. But the first registered sale was in 1/1993 with 3000 miles at a florida auto auction. Throughout its history, it has failed emissions inspections almost every year  Would love to know what secrets this car had hidden? I had to copy and paste the carfax, sorry for the lousy format. The positive/interesting side is that it is the second to last ZR-1 built for the 1992 model year. They only built 502 in 1992. Secondly, it appears the car has been regularly used over the years, no long periods of storage.

My car is my third ZR-1 and it was a basket case when I started bringing it back to life, five years ago. It currently has 125,000 miles and I enjoy this one more than the others. It's not perfect and definitely not original, but it brings me joy.

Car fax certainly gives you value . The free vin look up services fall short. They find very little info .

I love driving the crap out of it and it too brings me great joy. I can't let go of the idea of owning a 'good' one. A ZR1 with great paint and interior is still so attractive to me. I also would like to know how they drive when they are factory spec, versus my modified car. Would I enjoy it more? Doubtful. But I think my wife would prefer to spend time in a quieter car and that would be nice.
