Default LT5s on Ebay

These guys on Ebay (corvettesalvageyard) are using a photo of my 95' crate engine they found on the Registry Forum or CF to sell their 90' Used Engine with 38K miles

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1990-Corvett...588677&vxp=mtr

A bit disingenuous I would say

Anyone want to have some fun......hit buy it now for $7,995.00 and I will back you up

Id make them correct the ad. They should not be allowed to use your motor image or offer to charge them a fee.

Ha....well......Actually anyone can use any of my photos as they like (out of the 1,000+ photos I have posted) but I was just curious what issues would come up if someone DID buy that engine now thinking from the photo it was a 95' and relatively a new or very well cared for engine. The potential buyer thinking the seller did not know much about engines and actually WAS selling what was in the photo no matter it was called a 90' with 38K miles.

I think there are rules against trying to sell something on Ebay using a photo that does not depict what you are selling. But.....I guess that is the sellers problem

This 95' Crate engine is about the best looking Crate Engine I have seen
I have another 1991 LT5 with 36K miles in the works I will restore to see if I can get it looking like this 95' Crate Engine

I corresponded with them a couple of weeks ago about the photo not being of the engine they are offering for sale. They were pretty tacky about it and said if anyone was really interested, they would send actual photos. My response was that it was a fraudulent representation and anyone who knew about the LT5 engine would recognize the misrepresentation and believe the auction was a scam.

Obviously they didn't give a crap.
