I see kits for this that cost less than $50. Anybody done this? Is it worth cutting into our wires or just put on the parking lights and go?

In Canada it is a requirement to have the daytime lights on. When I bought my 91 from the US I put that kit on as it was easier than trying to do it like the factory did for the Canadian export models. Easy install and has worked perfectly for two years now.

Charlie,

If anything, consider HID driving lights. Once I finish 380 build, this will be my next project - about $60-70.

While DRLs are not reqired here, I usually just turn on my parking lights when I drive for added visibility, and for a bit more I add the fog lights. The parking lights aren't quite as bright as DRLs but they do add visibility. --Bob

Been there done it

Web electrics has the best kit. No regrets

Smart kit, lights shut off and default to standard when making a turn as not to confuse the other driver and return to DRL mode after making the turn. Running 7 years now cheap and easy mode and it's all about safety

Who? DRLs are everywhere these days. Every C5 and up has em now
