Default Why Do People Use The "MY"??????

Why do people tend to use the MY nomenclature? Just wondering???

What's the purpose? It drives me nuts. I'm a little nuts anyway and this just pushes the issue. LOL

I think it just sounds grammatically incorrect. Grammatically.......never used that word before. LOL

Doesn't just saying 90 or 1990 work fine????
