Lightbulb Clear Tinted Targa Tops? Anything to look for? ---

I was cruising the forum and saw a few cars posted with clear and solid colored tops.

I will hopefully be the owner of a zr-1 tomorrow , and was interested in getting a clear tinted targa top for it.

Is there a forum favorite ... glass or plastic or ???

Are they interchangeable from c4 to c4?

Thanks for the help ---

Hi,

One top was standard (clear or painted) and an additional top was an option.

Personally I prefer the solid top because it's much cooler and I prefer the look.

C4 tops are interchangable from C4 to C4 from 1989 to 1996.

I have both tops that came with my car. I have never had the painted top on my car in 6yrs of ownership. I prefer the open feeling the clear top gives you. Unlike David I can take the heat, lol. Congrats on the new car, ownership only counts if you share pics and info with the brotherhood

Another great review.

I will definitely post up some pics and specs. I don't want to jinx myself right now ... and hope it goes smoothly tomorrow

Thanks ---

I would have to agree. I like the more open feeling. I've only had my Z since 9/11 though. Come July...I may start wimping out.
