Silicone di electric grease for Injector o rings?
Cliff advised to use white grease to make putting in and removing the injectors easier..but I don't have white grease. i do have regular marine wheel bearing grease and Di electric grease. Can I use either one of these without fear of messing up an O2 sensor?

Go with the dielectric grease

I was about to ask the same question, if to use and what to use. I just got to that point today. While I've got the plenum, can you or anyone tell me where I should get new secondary port vacum actuators? I thought I would replace them while Im in there. Thanks E..

Re: Silicone di electric grease for Injector o rings?
I recommend using plain engine oil on the fuel injector o-rings. I see no reason to introduce silicone where it can come in contact with fuel or oil. Whether it's actually harmful to O2 sensors, I can't say from personal experience...... But why chance it when oil works quite well and not harmful.
Likewise, if grease is needed to hold an o-ring in place, use petroleum grease. no harm, no foul.

Re: Silicone di electric grease for Injector o rings?
Thanks Phil. Love the quick answers to all my dumb questions...but I guess the dumbest question is the one you don't ask. Di-ectric it is.
E, I don't know where you can buy them, but from all I have read, it's more of a headache to keep them then to get rid of them. I made the decision to buy Marc Haibeck's chip and once and for all get rid of that system. Hopefully it will prove to be the right choice. Good luck...be careful with that While I'm in there..its addictive!

Jerry, since they're your O rings, I'll use oil. thanks for getting them to me so quickly too.
This forum and people like you have been invaluable in my little project.

An assortment of metal picks comes in ever so handy to remove and then install those little buggers. Several shapes come in a little kit. I got mine at an auto parts store.
I used petroleum jelly out of habit. Pete likes KY jelly, apparently. The rule is, whatcha see in Pete's garage, stays in Pete's garage! So, th-a-a-a-a-ts all I'm gonna say 'bout that. P.
