Default Gone to the "Dark Side"

I want to thank the members of the Registry for being the best Corvette(ZR_-1) owners in the world!

For those that I've met, it's been enjoyable! My first and only Gathering - the 20th - will be one of many fond memories! For those who have helped me with issues on #135 ('91) - I am forever in your debt in helping me find parts and for your help in a couple of the repairs. You Guys are awesome!

It is with sadness and yet joy that I write this last post - I have gone over to the "Dark Side". After getting an offer I couldn't refuse, I traded in my ZR-1 for a 2011 Grand Sport Coupe! The ZR is truly an awesome car and I will miss it! One item on my "Bucket List" was to own a new Corvette, that can now be lined through! The Grand Sport, for me, is a perfect replacement!

Since the two cars are "linked" from history and we share the same event date at the NCM, I hope to see you some day in the future. To reconnect with great friends and to make new friends, both from the ZR-1 community and the Grand Sport community.

Thanks again for your help and your friendship!
Mike in icy SD!

Hi Mike,

We had a great time at the 20th and I truly enjoyed getting to know you better. If you happen to swing through Idaho again, be sure and look me up.

Sorry to see you leave, but the Grand Sport is a great car and yes you are linked through history.

Enjoy your new ride.

Hey Mike,

That 20th is going to be a tough time to beat. But there is more in store with the new board members. The one thing that was missing during the 20th was a little drag (racing that is).
Enjoy the dark side . The Grand Sport is a great ride. Post up some pic's !

Got the Cyber Gray Coupe with the Red Hash marks, with Red & Ebony Leather interior. It was delivered last Fridays with 13 miles on it - just off the dyno (new air cleaner, high flow cats and headers). Came off the dyno at 404 RHP. I get to bring it back for a "retune" after I get 1K on the odometer. They've been getting 505 engine horse here locally with these simple mods!

I thought my ZR was awesome - this is WICKED!

Will try and attach photos.

Good thing you added that at the end Frank. We do have pictures of Mr. Drag in his thong...

That was great that you got a photo of the ZR-1 next to your GS before you took her in for the trade in.

Looks like I got the right color just not a vert. or the Heritage package.

Enjoy the 500 hp.

You have not gone over to the "Dark Side", rather you are still within the Chevy and Corvette family.
Now if you had bought a rustang, then you really would have gone over to the dark side.
