Default Suspension question?

When I am driving straight ahead and let off the gas the car squirms to the left then back to the right when I get on it again. It sorta feels loose in that respect. Would beam plates fix it or do I have another issue I'm not aware of? Also, the car looks like it might be listing towards the passenger side a touch.

No not 100% it sounds like you cracked the front and/or rear spring assuming you have not already gone to coilovers. Do you have any listing to one side on the front end?Check for the the obvious, extra play on the tie rod ends etc. Motor mounts etc. Have you had any road gator impacts (Tire remnanets) and such underside on the front end? lots of possibilities

Beam plates will help to an extent but it sounds like something else is going on here as well. The beam plates have the added benefit during R&R of the transimission and I highly reccommend them for GP.

Ryan that happened to me once also but it was because I had only 10 psi in the passenger side rear and 35psi in the drivers side rear. That makes for some hair raising acceleration. If your back home let me know and I'll come over and take a look at it.

One suggestion would be to check your half shaft universal joints, mostly likely the passenger side outer joint.

If the shifter doesn't move when this is happening, then it isn't anything to do with transmission play and beam plates, although like my Cycloptic friend has pointed out, you just can't go wrong by putting them on.
Check all the easy stuff first, tire pressure, etc.
Put a jack under the rear and give a rear wheel a hard tug (checking for suspension play).
Take a good look at all the bushings under the rear.
Follow behind your ZR1 while your best friend flogs the sh!t out of your car. You won't see anything, but he will surely enjoy it.

Seems that there was a similar problem posted here back around October or so. Maybe do a search and see what pops up.

I don't think the shifter is moving, but i will have to watch it next time I drive it.

Rick, maybe I'll bring it by the shop where you work and let you drive it, then I can have a second opinion. Next time you drive yours, let on and off the gas a few times paying attention to what happens in regards to the direction the car maintains and then drive mine.

I'm also gonna need your help to get me going on these injectors to bro.
