I am also new to this forum and am planning on buying a ZR-1 this december and would like to get to know some info on them before the purchase, things like: How well these beasts are for daily driving, tuneablilty, how to read the VIN # so I can get what I want without having to fighure out and such, and if the do decent in light snow/slush at all or if I should leave that to another car.

Thanks and great site.

The ZR-1 is a great daily driver, the only complaint is getting in and out of the ZR because of the rail and low seats. As far as tuning, check the plugs once in awhile and may be the wires and that's it.

For the VIN check out http://zr1.net/ZR1_vin.html

You really don't want to drive these cars in snow, the tires are too wide and not designed for snow not to mention the HP. :-)

Good lucK!
