Default Installed new exhaust today at Haibeck

Just got back from Marc Haibeck's shop where I got a B&B system installed in place of the stock one on the car. Apparently, its a 3.0 version of the B&B system. The car still retains its stock manifolds and cats. As for the "boom" at 15-1800rpm, it hasn't manifested itself. At any other rpm, the motor sound is pleasantly muffled but more pronounced than the stock setup. My 84 had TPIS headers, Random Tech Cat, and Magnaflow catback. It was louder and raspier than this system. We'll see once I put headers on there. BTW, Marc and his son Bob are definitely good people.

Cool Re: Installed new exhaust today at Haibeck

You will notice a big difference once you put on headers, especially if you leave off the cats.

Glad to hear Mark is still making ZR-1 owners happy.

Thanks. I plan on leaving cats on. Not convinced that modern design cats rob very much power.

There is a measurable difference, all be it a slight one. Adding an x-pipe will also make a small difference in HP & louder sound. All in all using cats will help to reduce the db level if that is what you would prefer.

I am sure you are happy with the look as well as the new exhaust note.
