The Power Key difference between an 89 Pilot an an 89 Engineering unit
This was posted in another thread, but I though I would give it its own link here in the Prototype section.
The 1989 Pilots had this power key: The 1989 Engineering units had this one: Legend has it the word "Normal" was substituted so that the ZR-1 could get emmisions and noise certification in California. The California rules required the car to be run "normally" during all of it certification tests. This is also why later year ZR-1s default to "Normal" when started.

EX5023 has the same key as the 89 Pilot car. My key cylinder is bright stainless though.

Brett, is that an insert on the key bezel or is it molded?

It's an insert. Looks like the hole was hand cut.
