Default HOME SALES TAX .............

When does your home become part of your health care? After 2012!

Your vote counts big time in 2012, make sure you and all your friends and family know about this!

HOME SALES TAX

I thought you might find this interesting.

The National Association of Realtors is all over this and working to get it repealed, -- before it takes effect. But, I am very pleased we aren't the only ones who know about this ploy to steal billions from unsuspecting homeowners. How many realtors do you think will vote Democratic in 2012?

Did you know that if you sell your house after 2012 you will pay a 3.8% sales tax on it? That's $3,800 on a $100,000 home, etc. When did this happen? It's in the health care bill, -- and it goes into effect in 2013. Why 2013? Could it be so that it doesn’t come to light until after the 2012 elections? So, this is ‘change you can believe in’?

Under the new health care bill all real estate transactions will be subject to a 3.8% sales tax.

If you sell a $400,000 home, there will be a $15,200 tax. This bill is set to screw the retiring generation, -- who often downsize their homes. Does this make your November, 2012 vote more important?

Oh, you weren't aware that this was in the ObamaCare bill? Guess what; you aren't alone! There are more than a few members of Congress that weren't aware of it either.

You can check this out for yourself at:

I hope you forward this to every single person in your address book.
VOTERS NEED TO KNOW

Nancy says just pass it, you can read it later. Nice huh. there is a lot of stuff it that heath care bill. Feds will have total access to your bank acounts.
We really need this not to happen. I don't understand how people think we're headed in the right direction. Maybe it's just the welfare people that like it. Certainly is a good plan for them.

WE THE PEOPLE. We're coming.

That's thing about bills, politicians stuff a bunch of taxes, loopholes, side projects, etc. into them. Taking something that is meant to do good, and screw everyone in the process. I personally don't care for the bill, but understand the need for it. There's literally millions of uninsured people out there, and a lot aren't on welfare. God knows how many w/ insurance have been denied and screwed because of a "pre-existing condition". I don't what the solution is, or how to raise the money for it, but just about every Westernized nation has universal health care, besides us.

Uh... Actually, according to FactCheck.org the information you are relying on is mostly false and/or misleading:

Ask FactCheck • A 3.8 Percent “Sales Tax” on Your Home?

Q: Does the new health care law impose a 3.8 percent tax on profits from selling your home?

A: No, with very few exceptions. The first $250,000 in profit from the sale of a personal residence won’t be taxed, or the first $500,000 in the case of a married couple. The tax falls on relatively few — those with high incomes from other sources.

We’ve been flooded with queries about this one ever since the health care bill became law. At the last minute, Democratic lawmakers decided on a new 3.8 percent tax on the net investment income of high-income persons. But the claim that this would amount to a $15,200 tax on the sale of a typical $400,000 home is utterly false.

The truth is that only a tiny percentage of home sellers will pay the tax. First of all, only those with incomes over $200,000 a year ($250,000 for married couples filing jointly) will be subject to it. And even for those who have such high incomes, the tax still won’t apply to the first $250,000 on profits from the sale of a personal residence — or to the first $500,000 in the case of a married couple selling their home.

I checked the FACTS
As usual things get circulated like this that are part bull sh$t.
The truth is there is no tax unless you have an income that is much
higher than the average on this forum.
If your adjusted gross income is more that $250,000/ur yes you may have to pay 3.8% but that is not even absolute.
Check it out:

Thank God we finally have a federal healthcare plan.
Now there will be fewer freeloaders from Mexico going into
the emergency room with no insurance.
Now it won't be only me paying for my health insurance.

We need less fear mongering and more fact.

So less Mexicans with no insurance. But, who is going to pay for their insurance.
Insurance itself is a scam. So you think the insurance company is paying your bills with money that isn't your's? Plus the money you feed into the insurance scam has to pay all the people that work for them and build the biggest buildings in the city.

Read the law. They have to pay. Each of us have to pay. And no more can insurance companies cut out folks that need coverage the most.

No more free emergency room care or vastly less.
Don't think turning this tread into an Insurance debate and how it works fits the title of the thread... It's a different topic than a supposed new House tax that effects the more affluent.

Insurance is not a scam per se. How these bastard rich companies run it is. The top executives get outrageous pay and dole out vast sums to elect Rominites and folks that will support their operations.
The idea of insurance is to spread out and share risk and loss. It's a good concept.

The healthcare act helps people and not companies that's why there is so much money behind stopping it. All the accusations of "communism" and "socialism" are scare tactics aimed at the dull minded people that prefer not to think.

I congratulate you. I have not read the law. Based on your post, I have to assume you did.

Yes, I did read that part and it's intentions.
I try to make sure I know enough of the facts on things before
I post on them. And I ALWAYS check my facts on radical mail or Facebook claims made by the left or right.
It saves me from passing on bad information (most of the time but not all).

I still can't understand the thinking of our lawmakers in not increasing tax on the very and extreme wealthy in this country. It's widely known that the two richest (Gates and Buffet) are in favor of this.
It has to be the big money keeping lawmakers from doing the right thing.
Corruption is abound. It's not just Romney and his maneuvering of the Bain company or his embarrassing tax dodges (or his multiple overseas numbers swiss bank accounts) It's senators on both sides of the isle.
