I got a kick out of some dealers when it comes to performance cars...If the car has mods, rarely will you see the dealer telling you what they are.....The big well known companies that deal in classics,will......Most ordinary dealerships won't ....

Keep us posted, even if you are not going to buy the car.....This one does in fact look clean...

Good luck....

The dealer sent me some information on the car. Looks to be a little out of my price range according to the wife. I have a line on another really clean one in Texas.

I will keep everyone posted. It seems like the ZR-1 is calling me back.

Thanks for getting back....Is that black car modded? Did you get the feeling he would be negotiable?

Good luck...

Funny, I have a wife just like that. But she applies her wisdom to everything. Cars, trips, home improvement projects, you name it. I have to buy a new daily driver this year (my 5 series BMW is pushing 9 years old) and she says we can't afford it. Fortunately, she really knows nothing about cars (and cares less about them) so I am highly confident that if I order a new 5 series in the same color combo as the current one and just pick it up one day, it will take her two years to notice I have a different car. Keep searching and remember that sometimes the cheapest cars end up being the most expensive in the long run. I am at a point in my life now that if I were looking again for a ZR-1 I would want one which has had everything done on it by a marque expert--or at least one that has been owned a long time by a member of this esteemed group.--Bob
