No matter where you look, or what you look at, all you will see is the time and care this restoration has received. If you want the absolute best, this is the one for you! Marty,

For grins, what would a restoration like that cost?

It would depend on the completeness, correctness, and condition of the car to be restored.
A good working number would be $100,000.00 to $ 125,000.00. (plus the car)
If you are writing the checks, you certainly don't do it to make money, but rather to get the car you always wanted into the condition you wanted it in.
Better, and far less expensive, to purchase one that is close to your dream car as you can find.
Much better way to go!
(unless of course you are one of our esteemed personal restorers on this site, that enjoy doing it and only write checks for parts!)

Do you have any paperwork with the car? is the engine original to the car? is the color correct for the car? Has the body ever been hit?
Thanks,
Nelson

Nelson,
No, we have no paperwork for the car.
Rarely have we had anything meaningful for solid axle cars, and we have sold some very high end examples.
This car was restored by a shop consisting of a father and son team.
Both are long time NCRS members, and the father is a long time Master Judge.
Accordingly, the car was restored with the intent of NCRS judging upon completion. It has correctly coded parts and has a block stamped with the matching serial number.
Again, with C-1's I cannot at this point determine the original color of the car. I will check with the restorer to see if there are any records of the colors found or crayon codes when dis-assembled.
I will also ask the condition of the body prior to paint.
In it's current state, the car is ready for judging.
Please call or email me if you need any further information.
Thanks,

Marty
