Default Delphi Fuel Pumps

Are they any good? They say Made in China on the boxes...
Also, if the plastic Y is still good, can I reuse it? (The sender is from a 19k mile car) How often do they really fail?

On failing you just dont know they could last for 40 years or go tomorrow . If the ones in the car are working by the new pumps put them in the well in the back seat along with a screw driver 10 mm socket a couple of tye wraps and some 4 replacement worm clamps 1/4 in I believe and if they go out you can replace them in a 1/2 hour getting the unit out of the tank can be a little tricky just take your time .my car just went past 250 k and I just put in my second set but I always keep 2 back up pump in the car at all times . Hope this helps

You can keep replacement pumps in the car or you can travel with the fuel pump jumper

Honestly, I was really wondering about the Delphi pumps as far as reliability since theyre not made in the US and are Made in China... Im not sure I would even have another choice with a ny brand pump.

I use Electric Performance Fuel Pumps P-240KC from Rock Auto and they cost about $20/each. Just looked at the box and it does not say country of manufacture but does reference a USA patent.

Thanks guys, I already installed the Delphi pumps... so far theyre good. Restart is good after sitting and throttle response seems a bit better with them in.

I did the pump replacement on my previous car back in 2008. The sending unit was in great shape. Replaced the hoses and sock also. I really like Marc's solution using a standard single sending unit and one high flow pump covered in the last Heart of the Beast. Being that my run has the secondary delete when the time comes I'm going with one pump.
