Default Radio will not work

Hello everyone, my radio will not work in my 91 ZR1. The time is displayed but there is no sound or the antenna will not extend. Does this seem like a fuse or something else? The ZR1 is all original with no modifications.

Fuse check would be place to start. Main fuse panel 10 amp fuse. Aux. fuse panel fuse as well. Also try disconnecting Battery for 30 sec. & reconnect.

Fact that the radio is failing to trigger power antenna (assuming power antenna itself has not failed) leads me to suspect headunit failure.
I would send both headunit to Dr. Don and have him check it out.

Have Dr. Don hard wire in an AUX input on your cassette side of the board, then you can plug in your phone or XM radio and still have a stock looking radio.

When these 30 year plus components fail I prefer to do this,
Remove head unit in dash
Remove CCM inside dash under glove box, bad PIA
Remove all 4 speaker units
Send them all to the nearest factory car stereo Bose repair place for testing.
It could be one thing, or multiple things.
My guy is Bob.

Just age will kill these components. The seat bladders will fall apart, the acid in the capacitors in the amps leaks out and kills the amps.

The auxiliary fuse panel is behind the radio I think.
