91 Z for $ 13,395.00....
Came across this 91 when I was doing my research...It is located at Triad auto solutions in Greensboro NC.....When I was looking months ago it was listed at 16,995......I called the dealership and the MNGR said he would sell car for 15,995.....Car I think has 37,000 miles..Website has some 60 photos of it..
Of course most black cars with a decent coat of wax looks good outside in photos.. Has any members of this forum actually have seen this one up close? I feel it is priced way below average but probably has some flaws.. Just curious.... Car is listed for 13,995 not 13,395.... Last edited by Vette73; 01-01-2015 at 03:53 PM. Reason: Wrong price |

Here's the link:
http://buyacarnc.com/1991-Chevrolet-...0/Details.aspx The camera they used seems to have some weird lens on it, the pics look a bit distorted and a lot of them are way too dark; someone doesn't know how to use lighting correctly when taking pictures. I would say the previous owner didn't take real great care of it, for the miles I would have expected it to look better. They made the paint look really shiny, but the pictures are very poor quality. Passenger seat bottom leather is all shrunk up, headlight switch area looks really faded, just how the original one on my 142K mile Z I used to own looked and yet this one has 100K less miles. Tires also look old, you can see a lot of cracks in the rubber in one pic, even with the poor quality. Engine bay looks a bit rough too. Probably this car sat out in the sun a lot. But with the proper TLC, could be made to look great again. Looks like it was in an accident as well, this is the note I have in the vin list of the cars that Jim put together (with some note additions by me when I'd find Z's on the net). The date is the date I added the info, not necessarily the date of the accident: (July-10) 39,014 miles; accident or damage reported It might have a salvage title, I wonder how it runs & drives. I've been mulling over getting another Z, too bad this one is all the way across the country.

Re: 91 Z for $ 13,395.00....
Hello, new to this site. I noticed this car last week in Greensboro, I am a long time vette owner and currently own a 94 lt1. I wanted to look at this car since finding out its a Zr1. I will be back in town on Monday and can inspect then. This dealer is not very reputable in our area. They have the price listed differently all over the web. One site has it at $12,200?

Yeah I'm curious about this ZR1.....I was going to take Amtrak from NYC to see this car a few months ago.....I'm a supv. for NYCTA and usually Amtrak honors my badge and pass. It was going to be a 11 hr train ride.....I then saw the ZR1 I presently own from Gateway classics in Chicago and went that route....Car is beautiful and def.worth what I paid...Knock wood, so far no problems.....Same colors same year..
Good luck with the car...It's def. worth the time to check it out..Let us know how you make out..... John.... |

Anything particular I should look for, besides normal title, damage, water damage and so on? From the ZR1 side of it? From little research I can do from my phone on vacation, injectors, oil leaks and cluch slave cylinder seem to be troublesome.

Re: 91 Z for $ 13,395.00....
I'm also new to the forum myself....This is my third Corvette I have owned..
I presently have a 73 convertible which I have owned for the past 12 years.. There seems to be a lot of knowledgeable ZR1 owners on the forum.. Post on the site if maybe one if the members could possibly meet you there to inspect it along with you... I know this particular car has had some paintwork done, which to me is no Big deal along as it is done right...Also it has had some if the injectors replaced.. Good luck .... |

Well, I'll let you know all about it when it gets here - i just purchased this car yesterday and having it shipped to me in Long Island. I already ordered new tires as I was told the old ones were "like New" but dry rotted and cracked.
