Default Fastlane Interview + Show & Tell -1999

I'm in the process of moving, and unearthed a tape from the 1999 ZR-1 Gathering. I shot this material on the lawn of the NCM. Lane gives a tour explaining the mods on his 8.5 sec./ 160mph. 1990 ZR-1.
This is a companion piece to the "in car" 1/4mile run I shot later the same day:

Fastlane Intv.: - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=83ih...ature=youtu.be

In Car Footage: - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tHuhnXVsyG0

Sorry for the image quality, as this was all shot on a standard definition Sony Handycam, 6 years before GoPro and YouTube existed. And several years before HD.

If you haven't seen it yet, Enjoy )

Bob, those videos are priceless!

I'm hoping we might be able to include them in the Registry's web site, yes??

For sure. Do we have a video archive?

I'm pretty sure we do (or these could be the first!)

Jim Voter or Mark Horner or Dennis - any one of these guys can make that happen. I'll give 'em a heads-up if they haven't already seen these.

Paul.

thanks for the video Bob. This guy was seriously into drag racing. It took so much to get it to run 8.5 at 160 mph. He had a real passion for the LT5 to put so much effort and engineering and money to hit his 8.5 mark. I ran almost as fast in my prostreet mustang years ago and it took around 80k total to do it. I am sure he has much more invested in his zr1. It was very interesting to see and I love the sound of this thing too.
