Changing Brake Hoses
Hi,
I need to change the original brake hoses on my 95 ZR1. The car has top flight status from 2014. How does it effect the status if I replace them with current AC Delco hoses? |

Re: Changing Brake Hoses
Checking the judging sheets, it appears it would result in A) a very minor deduction or B) no deduction at all.
Some years do not judge brake hoses because they consider them a safety item. I've never agreed with that thinking because, in my opinion, the car with original dated hoses should get more credit than a car without...even if only one point. *Edit add...there was a fellow that 're-colored' and marked brake hoses with original finishes. He may still be around. Because the original hoses were double crimped, and the replacements will be double crimped, the only originality deduction would be for the markings on the rubber portion(s.)
