Default Oil Separator

A little winter maintenance sprinkled in amongst the U-Joint repair.
Wife put roughly 1200 miles on her Z last year and this is "our" typical result for those street miles.
Back when she was tracking the car, this would be the norm after a weekend of high RPMs.

That's a slick setup! Where did you get the cool bracket & catch can?

The separator is an Elite Engineering unit I purchased 10+ years ago.
I made the bracket.

Looks about right. I have learned the lower the overall RPM's you drive the less oil that is caught/disturbed. It makes sense. Less turbulence in the crank case.

I mounted mine low on the frame rail.

I think everyone should have a catch can on their Z

I noticed some oil use from the touring laps we ran at the NCM park during the Gathering. Taught me to watch the oil level, that’s the only sustained high rpm work the car sees all year. If I ever get the car autocross-ready I’ll look into a catch can setup.
