Default LT5 supply?

Forgive my newbee ignorance, but I assume there is no aftermarket LT5 blocks, heads, etc - in other words, the last one made was in November of '93? Or, is the aftermarket more robust than I could imagine?

And, anyone have an idea how many of the original 6939 Zs are still on the road?

Thanks in advance (I guess I'm just punching my ZR-1 Trivial Pursuit card!)

No aftermarket for blocks or heads. But they never get damaged. And i know of plenty of them that are new in the box.

As far as how many are left. It's safe to assume 10-15% have been lost to theft/flood/fire/accidents. There are plenty of these cars out there. more low mileage cars pop up ever day.

I imagine, therefore, you're referring to a number of engines that were built as spare parts, no?
