Anyone know the story of this LT5 Convertible
Ok, Trying to document the LT5 Convertibles. Anyone learn the story of this LT5 when they were in Carlisle a few years back? Was it a 90 with updated panels? What was the VIN? Any info or additional pictures would be appreciated. Eric

Re: Anyone know the story of this LT5 Convertible
Eric,
Both cars came out of the GM Heritage Collection and I will work on the Vin #'s for you.... The one with the later panels I think is a Steel Blue 1991. I think the early convertible sold @ BG when you bought #74, but I'm not 100% on it. David |

The 2nd picture shows the V12 Falconer, a 1990 Active, Mystery 91 LT5 Vert, and the DR-1. Next to the DR-1 (not shown) was 1989 ZR-1 #003. You had quite the collection that year! Wish I was there.

I believe the Steel Blue 91 was a G.M. car.It was at the auction when the DR-1 and the other early cars were sold but I havent seen this car or heard of it in public hands.

Re: Anyone know the story of this LT5 Convertible
Jeff, thank you great post. the VIN of the 1991 is: 1G1YY3388M5115154 so this car was not built originally as a LT5. compnine.com shows it left BG with an L98. So this must have been converted like the DR-1 was. I may have to order the Build Sheet on this one.
OK on to my next research project.
